C#.NET: How to convert List to Datatable Data Type

Asmak9.EssentialToolKit library provides a rich method to convert List data type structure into Datatable data type structure.

Today, I shall be demonstrating method of Asmak9.EssentialToolKit .NET library to convert List data type structure into Datatable data type structure using C#.NET console application.

 

Prerequisites:

Following are some prerequisites before you proceed any further in this tutorial:

1. Install Asmak9.EssentialToolKit Nuget Package.
2. Knowledge of Nuget Package Manager.
3. Knowledge of C# Programming.

The example code is being developed in Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 Professional.

Let's begin now.

1) Create new C#.NET console application and name it "ConvertListToDatatables".  

 

2) Open "Tools\Nuget Package Manage\Manage Nuget Packages for Solution...".

3) Install Asmak9.EssentialToolKit Nuget Package.

4) Now, create "ConvertListToDatatables.cs" file and type following lines of code i.e.

// Initialization
List<CustomerObj> list1 = new List<CustomerObj>();
List<int> list2 = new List<int>();
List<string> list3 = new List<string>();
List<char> list4 = new List<char>();
List<int[]> list5 = new List<int[]>();

...

// Convert List to Datatables method
DataTable table1 = utilityKit.ConvertListToDataTable(list1);
DataTable table2 = utilityKit.ConvertListToDataTable(list2);
DataTable table3 = utilityKit.ConvertListToDataTable(list3);
DataTable table4 = utilityKit.ConvertListToDataTable(list4);
DataTable table5 = utilityKit.ConvertListToDataTable(list5);

...

The above code will convert provided list data type structure into datatable data type structure. You also need to initialize 'UtilityKit' class with or without your license key.

5) Now, execute the project and you will be able to see the following i.e.
