WPF: How to convert Bytes to BitmapImage

Image as bytes can be converted into bitmapImage directly, in order to display on screen. Asmak9.EssentialToolKit library provides a rich method to convert bytes into bitmap.

Today, I shall be demonstrating method of Asmak9.EssentialToolKit .NET library to convert Bytes into BitmapImage using WPF application.

 

Prerequisites:

Following are some prerequisites before you proceed any further in this tutorial:

1. Install Asmak9.EssentialToolKit Nuget Package.
2. Knowledge of Nuget Package Manager.
3. Knowledge of WPF Application Development.
   
4. Knowledge of C# Programming.

The example code is being developed in Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 Professional.

Let's begin now.

1) Create new C#.NET WPF application and name it "ConvertBytesToBitmapImage".  

 

2) Open "Tools\Nuget Package Manage\Manage Nuget Packages for Solution...".

3) Install Asmak9.EssentialToolKit Nuget Package.

4) Now, create "Views/HomePage.xaml" file.

 

5) Open "Views/HomePage.xaml.cs" file and place following lines of code i.e.

// Convert Byte Array to Bitmap Image method.
this.img1.Source = utilityKit.ConvertToBitmapImage(imgBytes1, 480, 320);

...

The above code will convert provided bytes array to BitmapImage format with suitable width and height for the image to be processed. You also need to initialize 'UtilityKit' class with or without your license key.

6) Now, execute the project and you will be able to see the following i.e.
